Last night's game was seemingly nothing new. Tom Brady brought the Pat– I mean, the Buccaneers to victory. A pop star sang at the halftime show. And a handful of commercials made me cry (I'm looking at you Toyota!). But there was one thing we had never seen before: a female referee at the Super Bowl.
Her name is Sarah Thomas. Now, I'm no sports expert, but it seems safe to say that football stands as a bastion of masculinity. So Thomas' appearance is badass representation if I ever did see it. And what I love about it even more is that she was rocking a Timex Ironman on the field.

The Ironman is an icon. The digital watch is often a gateway into the mechanical watch world (just ask James Stacey). It serves as a modern-day tool watch with a chronograph, multiple alarms, and the Indiglo that brings you right back to the middle-school dance hall. The perfect watch for a woman at the top of her game, don't you think?
